Volunteers are needed for:
Friday, July 3
- Pre-race packet pickup setup – organize for packet pickup from 9 a.m. to noon at Crown Plaza Five Seasons Hotel.
- Packet pickup, Crown Plaza Five Seasons Hotel, 350 1st Avenue NE – two hour shifts on July 3 from noon to 7 p.m. – issuing runners their race number, t-shirt, and electronic race chips.
Saturday, July 4
- Packet pickup, Crown Plaza Five Seasons Hotel, 350 1st Avenue NE - two hour shift on July 4th from 6 to 8 a.m. – issuing runners their race number, t-shirt, and electronic race chips.
- Course monitors and traffic control – 8K and 5K course control on race day July 4th from 7 to 9 a.m. View the 8K course map. View the 5K course map.
- Help at the finish line – keep runners in order in the finish chutes and retrieve electronic race chips from 7 to 10 a.m. on July 4th.
- Back finish line – water and Gatorade distribution from 7 to 10 a.m. July 4th.
- Refreshment distribution – water, pop, fruit and other food items are made available to runners after the race on July 4th from 8 to 11 a.m.
- Youth Mile Run & Kids Fun Run – monitoring the course and in charge of the youth at the start line for age group staggered starts from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
- Post-race party monitors – monitoring entrance of runners to the post-race beer garden on race day July 4th from 8 to 11 a.m.
- Event site breakdown – tear down of event start/finish areas and post-race grounds cleanup on race day July 4th from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All volunteers receive a free T-shirt and are invited to the Fifth Season Post-Race Party. |
