Kids' Fun Run |
The Alliant Energy Fifth Season Kids' Fun Run for kids ages 8 and under.
The staggered age group start begins with the youngest age division:
kids 5 and under run a quarter mile and kids 6 to 8 run a half mile. All kids receive a ribbon for finishing. |
Parents may run with their children and strollers are welcome! Sorry, no pets allowed.

START
The start is at Mays Island, 3rd Avenue Bridge. Start time is 9:30 a.m. |
COURSE
The course takes runners and walkers through downtown Cedar Rapids. The course features straight out on 3rd Avenue with left turn on 3rd Street for kids 5 and under (or left turn on 5th Street for kids 6 to 8).
Runners and walkers then return on 2nd Avenue to a straight-away finish near the Alliant Energy Tower. |

ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is $8-$10 depending on date of entry.
$8 entry fee if postmarked by or on June 29.
$8 entry fee if register online through noon on July 2.
Late registration is $10 at packet pickup on July 3.
Race day registration is $10 at packet pickup and will close at 8 a.m.

PACKET PICKUP
Fifth Season Expo – Registration and Packet Pickup will be held at
the Crowne Plaza Five Seasons Hotel, 350 1st Avenue NE,
on July 3 from Noon to 7 p.m., and on July 4th from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Shirts and numbers for all entrants can be picked up at these times.
Merchandise vendors will be on site. Packet pickup will close at 8 a.m.
Kids’ Fun Run participants sign up at packet pickup for the random prize drawings.
The drawing for gift certificates for bikes will occur at the start of the kids’ fun run. |
SHIRT
Participants receive a commemorative youth race shirt, worth wearing all summer. |
POST-RACE PARTY
After the race, let the fun begin at our post-race parties!! Enjoy plenty of food, drink, music and family fun along 1st Street SE near the Alliant Energy Tower, along the 2nd Avenue Bridge overlooking the Cedar River, and Green Square Park. |

A parade just for kids! No need to register.
Just line up on Mays Island, 3rd Avenue Bridge and let the good times roll up to 3rd St SE and over to 2nd Avenue for a big finish on the 2nd Avenue bridge. Come enjoy this red, white & blue extravaganza as the kids show us all how to celebrate America with wagons, big wheels, roller blades and bikes.
