Race Begins In:

Kids' Fun Run

The Alliant Energy Fifth Season Kids' Fun Run for kids ages 10 and under.
The staggered age group start begins with the youngest age division:
kids 5 and under run a quarter mile and kids 6 to 10 run a half mile.All kids receive a commemorative 25^th anniversary race medal for finishing.

Parents may run with their children and strollers are welcome! Sorry, no pets allowed.
The kids’ fun run is underwritten by KCRG TV-9 & Show You Care Sponsors.

START

The start is at Mays Island, 3^rd Avenue Bridge. Start time is 9:30 a.m.

COURSE

The course takes runners and walkers through downtown Cedar Rapids. The course features straight out on 3^rd Avenue with left turn on 3^rd Street for kids 5 and under (or left turn on 5^th Street for kids 6 to 10).
Runners and walkers then return on 2^nd Avenue to a straight-away finish near the Alliant Energy Tower.

ENTRY FEE

Entry fee is $5.
Register online through noon on July 2 or by mail postmarked by June 29. Late registration is at packet pickup on July 3 and July 4.

PACKET PICKUP

Fifth Season Expo - Registration and Packet Pickup will be held at the Crowne Plaza Five Seasons Hotel, 350 1^st Avenue NE, on July 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on July 4^th from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Shirts and numbers for all entrants can be picked up at these times. Merchandise vendors will be on site. Packet pickup will close July 4 at 8 a.m.

SHIRT

Participants receive a commemorative youth race shirt, worth wearing all summer.

POST-RACE PARTY

After the race, let the fun begin at our post-race party!! Enjoy plenty of food, drink, music and family fun along 1^st Street SE near the Alliant Energy Tower, along the 2^nd Avenue Bridge overlooking the Cedar River.

KCRG-TV9's KIDS' PARADE

A parade just for kids! No need to register.
Just line up on Mays Island, 3^rd Avenue Bridge and let the good times roll up to 3^rd St SE and over to 2^nd Avenue for a big finish at 2^nd Avenue and 2^nd Street. Come enjoy this red, white & blue extravaganza as the kids show us all how to celebrate America with wagons, big wheels, roller blades and bikes.
